Today I visited the front page of LDS.org and noticed a nice little box with the title “The Plan of Happiness”. Clicked on that and up pops about ten other boxes listing ways you can work for salvation. ?????????? How is that a plan for happiness?
When I think of a plan of happiness I’m thinking vacation with no work. Spiritually speaking a plan of happiness is rejoicing in Jesus’ work that’s done for me; thus my happiness in the assurance I have knowing that I’m saved.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says; “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
As the General Conference is coming up for all Mormons please remember to pray they’ll see how all this work is unnecessary!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
AMEN TO THAT!! We don’t need any “to-do” lists like that! Our late Pastor gave a sermon on that: Happiness depends on happenings but true joy is in Jesus. I’d rather have true joy!
