New Testament Resource Manual, pgs 256-258; “John the Revelator ‘saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people’ (Revelation 14:6). That angel has come. His name is Moroni. His is a voice speaking from the dust, bringing another witness of the living reality of the Lord Jesus Christ” (in Conference Report, Sept.–Oct. 1995, 93; or Ensign, Nov. 1995, 70).” – Statement by Gordon B. Hinckley
Revelation 14:6; “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.”
In John’s revelation he saw three angels sent from heaven, each to deliver a message about the fall of Babylon.
The first angel John saw was to deliver the everlasting gospel throughout the earth to every nation, kindred tongue and people.
The second angel proclaims the fall of Babylon.
The third angel was to announce God’s vengeance on those who were anti-Christians.
With all this behind us I have a few questions!
1. Why did Moroni exclude nations of people who are dark if the Bible says he was sent to all nations?
2. Where are these other two angels now?
3. If the 3rd angel is to proclaim vengeance on those who are anti-Christian would that mean he has a message for the Mormons since they don’t approve of Christianity?
4. The Mormon gospel isn’t everlasting so how could Moroni be that angel in Revelation 14:6?
5. The apostle Paul told us that if another witness comes with another gospel to reject that message or angel that appears. Galatians 1:6-9.
6. A voice from the dust is from the book of Isaiah. God warned us through Isaiah not to listen to the voice from the dust as they’re false spirits. The Hebrew word for familiar spirits is ob. The voices were the rattling noises made by witches who spoke with the dead.
Why would this angel who was sent by God do exactly what God had commanded the Israelites not to do?
Isaiah 29:4; “And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.”
