General Conference, April 2004, “The Atonement: All for All”; “The Lord restored His gospel through Joseph Smith because there had been an apostasy. Since the fifth century, Christianity taught that Adam and Eve’s Fall was a tragic mistake, which led to the belief that humankind has an inherently evil nature. That view is wrong—not only about the Fall and human nature, but about the very purpose of life.” – Bruce C. Hafen
Genesis 8:21; “…the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth…”
Jeremiah 17:9; “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Romans 5:12; “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
Romans 8:7; “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.”
Imagine being a Mormon and believing your entire life that you were born perfect. In fact Mormons believe not only this, but they also don’t believe Adam’s sin was passed on down to them.
Somehow they mistakenly think that even though they’re born perfect they also need to be baptized at the age of eight for the remission of sins.
Whenever a Mormon reads the Bible he/she has to completely reject everything that refers to sin because of the twisted understanding they have about the nature of man. They also have to completely reject why Jesus was sent here to die for our sins.
Ask the Mormon in your life what their understanding of Jesus coming to pay for sins means to them and please; share the truth with them about the nature of men.
