Journal of Discourses 22:173; “The Lamanites, now a down-trodden people, are a remnant of the house of Israel. The curse of God has followed them as it has done the Jews, though the Jews have not been darkened in their skin as have the Lamanites. The fate of the Jews in this respect is a standing monument to all infidelity.” – Wilford Woodruff, Salt Lake City, June 12, 1881
James 2:9-10; “But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
Oh how I love the book of James! This guy was someone who just laid things out they way they were without beating around any bush. If you’ve shown partiality to anyone you’ve sinned. Furthermore, if you’re guilty of one sin you’re guilty of all. It doesn’t get much plainer than that folks!
And then we have our beloved Paul who was always conscience of reminding us of what God has done through His Son from the beginning of time to the present and we see that in Ephesians 2:14;
“For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us.”
In his exposition of what the actions of Adam brought upon mankind he reminded the church in Ephesus that because of Jesus’ sacrifice those dividing walls were gone. No more would there be any difference between Jew and Greek, male or female. We are all one in Christ. If you see a problem then it’s from the wall of racism you’ve built around yourself.
Think about it –
Have you ever seen one scripture anywhere in the Bible that God condones people to look down on a certain race? I know I haven’t.
