Jarom 1:1-2; “Now behold, I, Jarom, write a few words according to the commandment of my father, Enos, that our genealogy may be kept. 2 And as these plates are small, and as these things are written for the intent of the benefit of our brethren the Lamanites, wherefore, it must needs be that I write a little; but I shall not write the things of my prophesying, nor of my revelations. For what could I write more than my fathers have written? For have not they revealed the plan of salvation? I say unto you, Yea; and this sufficeth me”.
Romans 15:4; “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope”.
There are a few things to note in today’s dilemma so let’s begin!
1. Where is the hope in this fellow Jarom’s message?
2. Jarom said he was writing this to keep the genealogy of his family but in vs. 2 he said he was writing it for the Lamanites so which is it?
3. If Jarom is the one deciding what will and won’t be written, how can this be inspired of God?
4. How does this help my mother’s relationship with the Lord? How can she apply this to her daily life?
