Genesis 26:2-5; “And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: 3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; 4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; 5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”
Hebrews11:18; “Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called”.

The Seed of Isaac promised as the Redeemer … There are numerous indicators Mormons have rejected what God says, but for now we’re looking at four of them –
1.Mormon leaders have emphatically declared the Jesus of Mormonism is not the Jesus of the Bible. Ensign, Nov 2007 – Jeffrey Holland
2.Their canon displays their rejection. When the Nephites left Jerusalem they disobeyed God by going into Egypt; exactly where God told the Israelites not to go. 1 Nephi 2:5
3.The only essential element required for salvation in Mormonism is of course, Mormonism, aka Joseph Smith. Isaac is a non-issue and long forgotten. Mortal Messiah 2:79 – Bruce McConkie
4.The countries God promised Isaac aren’t located in or even near Israel. Mormons are taught their inheritance is in Missouri. Coming of the Lord, p 85, 114 – Gerald Lund

Gospel Doctrine, p 139; “WHAT IS THE PRIESTHOOD? It is nothing more nor less than the power of God delegated to man by which man can act in the earth for the salvation of the human family, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, and act legitimately; not assuming that authority, nor borrowing it from generations that are dead and gone, but authority that has been given in this day in which we live by ministering angels and spirits from above, direct from the presence of Almighty God, who have come to the earth in our day and restored the Priesthood to the children of men…” – Joseph F. Smith
