March 27 – Judges 16:30 tells us about the final act of Samson’s strength the Lord God had supplied him with; there is no question that no one lived as Samson did. It says; “And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life”.

The Book of Mormon is based upon revelations Joseph Smith received from the gold and brass plates the angel Moroni had delivered to Smith for translation. Remember, if a revelation disagrees with the Bible, even on the smallest of subjects, this would make it a false prophecy. Ask your Mormon friend if Smith was stronger than Samson.

D&C 24:12 says; “And at all times, and in all places, he shall open his (Joseph Smith) mouth and declare my gospel as with the voice of a trump, both day and night. And I will give to him strength such as is not known among men”.

I would have thought, from that verse, that he was talking about spiritual strength.
Well in the Bible it refers to both Samson’s physical strength as well as his spiritual strength after he repented of course. His hair was the badge of his consecration by God. I say this not to you because you probably already know this! I say it to point out to the Mormon who might not. 🙂
Smith boasted he had done more than anyone save Jesus for the benefit of all mankind. Joseph could run faster, jump higher and wrote more “scripture” than anyone ever known on earth. He was all that and more and in the example today Mormons are reminded of just how great he was. http://lifeafterministry.com/2012/01/25/the-golden-plates-of-mormonism/
I hope this clarifies what I was trying to convey! If not, let me know and thanks for your comments!
