LDS General Conference, ‘Loyalty,’ April 2003; “Each of us has
to face the matter—either the Church is true, or it is a fraud. There is no middle ground. It is the Church and kingdom of God, or it is nothing.” – Gordon B. Hinckley
Deuteronomy 10:12-13; “And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, 13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?”
Question of the day –
To whom do you bow the knee?
There are a couple of things in what Mr. Hinckley said that should be observed so let’s take a quick look at those here.
1.The Bible says our loyalty must go to God.
2.The LDS Church says our loyalty must go to them.
3.Mr. Hinckley said the church is the kingdom of God, however, the Bible says the body of Christ is the Kingdom of God. Mormons have historically denounced Christianity (the body of Christ), so how are they the kingdom of God?
