February 22 – Romans 1:19-20; “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse”.

God’s word tells us everyone knows God. The problem with man is sin. They don’t want to accept Him, or admit they’ve violated His Laws. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us He has put eternity in our hearts, but alas, we’ve rejected that as well. Instead of appreciating what He’s done, we believe God needs our help. An example of that is Mormonism’s flagrant blasphemy of ancestor worship and research. Also see (Romans 1:21-23). Ask a Mormon why they have to baptize dead people when God has said it’s unnecessary.

General Conference, ‘Our Personal Ministries,’ October 2014; “Our service and personal ministry are not limited to the living on this earth. We can also do work for the dead—for those who live in the spirit world and who, during their mortal life, did not have the opportunity to receive the saving ordinances of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can also keep a journal and write our family histories to turn the hearts of the living toward the living—as well as the hearts of the living toward their ancestors. It is all about linking our family, generation by generation, in eternal bonds. As we do so, we become “saviours … on mount Zion.”” – Hugo E. Martinez
Romans 1:19-20 (ESV)
19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
COMPARE IN TODAY’S LANGUAGE:
“… For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature…” (ESV)
“…things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead…”(KJV)
MY QUESTION IS:
What is the Mormon Terminology for “Godhead”? Where does LDS get their use of “Godhead” from?
In answer to your great question – here’s an official response from the LDS book entitled ‘Mormon Doctrine of Deity’, p. 11 –
“with reference to the doctrine of Deity.
First, we believe that God is a being with a body in form like man’s; that he possesses body, parts and passions; that in a word, God is an exalted, perfected man.
Second, we believe in a plurality of Gods.
Third, we believe that somewhere and some time in the ages to come, through development, through enlargement, through purification until perfection is attained, man at last, may become like God—a God.
I think these three complaints may be said to cover the whole ground of what our reverend critics regard as our error in doctrine on the subject of Deity.” — Bruce R. McConkie
Bottom line: they’re polytheists. There’s no one source outside of Joseph Smith from which anyone can retrieve info.
Experience has taught me that it’s a conglomeration of witchcraft, satanism, Hinduism, evolution, masonry, and new age. They use Christian terminology to give name titles for many of their doctrinal beliefs, but the true picture of those things are visibly seen once they open their mouths – just like it says in Romans 1:18-25.
