October 15 – Spat upon and beaten. Isaiah 50:6; “I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.”
_____
Sometime between 701-681 BC, Isaiah prophesied about a future servant who would be beaten and traumatized.
The prophecy was fulfilled c. 31 AD at the pretended trial the Lord went through after His arrest. All the adjectives in this fulfillment are pretty self explanatory, with the exception of ‘buffeted’. The transliteration for this word is ‘kolaphizō’ in the Greek and it means to rap with the fist. In other words, sucker punched. Just briefly thinking of this makes one sick.
Matthew 26:67; “Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands.”

One hundred and twenty adults and older children were slaughtered after being tricked by Mormons who told them that they too were Christians, and it’d be safer to give up their weapons during the trek over the mountainside. The unsuspecting pastor and other church members were encircled by men hiding in the bushes and those walking in front of them before being mercilessly gunned down… You can read more of this story at Lifeafterministry.com/Mountain Meadows-Massacre.
