April 19 – Graceless foundation. Heb. 13:8-9; “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. 9 Be not carried away by strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.”

One more thing about the 17 Points of a True Church…
At the bottom of the business card of 17 Points of the True Church, one little scripture stands alone. It’s Hebrews 13:8. First of all, the Jesus of Mormonism does change. They believe He was a created being who became a god. Secondly, they left out the rest of the passage. If they had just read verse nine, they could see they are practicing strange doctrine on the foundation of a graceless religion.

“Why are these things important? – Hebrews 13:8.”
You again misconstrue scripture. Jesus doesn’t change in his divine attributes. As the God of Israel, he was divine, became mortal and then was resurrected. The Muslims can use the same scripture with the same exegesis to prove that evangelical Christians also don’t worship the biblical Jesus. How can Jesus be the same yesterday, today and forever if he’s God one day, a baby the next, dead the next and resurrected three days later, how can he be the same and not change? You’re guilty of the same things the Mormons are!
Peace.
No John we’re not. You have to take a look a what Mormon’s say about Jesus’ origin and compare that with what the Bible says.
Mormons believe Jesus started off as a ‘spirit child’ of God and his goddess wife. He was first conceived through some type of union between them, and later grew up to become an adult spirit. Through obedience (while in the preexistence) he became worthy, and was chosen to be the savoir of this world.
The bible teaches us that Jesus has always been God. As John 1 says in verse one “the Word was God”, and later in verse 14 it says “the Word became flesh”.
You see, Christians believe Jesus’ divinity has never changed. Mormons are taught that it has changed. – Melissa Grimes
