How a colt fulfilled scripture. Zechariah 9:9f; “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.”
Matthew 21:6-9; “And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, 7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. 8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strewed them in the way. 9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.”

Presented to Jerusalem riding a donkey … The Church unabashedly proclaims Jesus inherited powers of a god which clearly puts them in the category of polytheism. How it is they claim to be Christian is a wonder indeed.
The day I was told Jesus is God I walked around in stunned silence and had never felt so small in all my life yet ironically everything started making sense. This event of Jesus riding into Jerusalem was one of the things I had always wondered about. I couldn’t understand why riding on a donkey was monumental, or why people were shouting Hosanna. Share with a Mormon today how Jesus’ actions were a fulfillment of scripture, and why the Israelites were so excited to welcome Him into Jerusalem. While you’re at it – don’t forget to share they were all there to celebrate Passover!

Mormon Newsroom.org; “We believe Jesus is the Son of God the Father and as such inherited powers of godhood and divinity from His Father, including immortality, the capacity to live forever. While He walked the dusty road of Palestine as a man, He possessed the powers of a God and ministered as one having authority, including power over the elements and even power over life and death.” [emp. mine]
