Jesus the Cornerstone. Zechariah 10:4; “Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.”
Ephesians 2:20; “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.”
_____
The cornerstone … Cornerstone is the operative word for today. If Jesus isn’t the chief cornerstone, nothing else we do or say means anything, but the real issue here hides in the crevices of our verses. Cults like to redefine words to suit their selfish needs and this is the issue. While the LDS Church touts the message that Jesus is the cornerstone, one problem they have is worshiping the wrong Jesus. As Christians we need to be diligent and always in His word to protect ourselves from being tricked. It’s not just Mormonism that’s cleaved itself on the practice of trickery; it’s any ‘ism’ that denies Jesus is the Christ and puts the edicts of its church before Him – Matthew 15:9.

General Conference, ‘The Cornerstones of Our Faith,’ October 1984; “We have basic cornerstones on which this great latter-day church has been established by the Lord and built…I mention first the chief cornerstone, whom we recognize and honor as the Lord Jesus Christ. The second is the vision given the Prophet Joseph Smith … The third is the Book of Mormon, which speaks as a voice from the dust … The fourth is the priesthood with all of its powers and authority…” – Gordon B. Hinckley
What the blasphemy??? God’s word (the Bible) didn’t at least make fifth.😔 Voice from the dust?
