Journal of Discourses 3:48; “If I am not to have the privilege of speaking of Saint and sinner when I please, tie up my mouth and let me go to the grave, for my work would be done. It was for this that they killed Joseph and Hyrum, it is for this that they wish to kill me and my brethren; we know their iniquity, and we will tell of it when the Spirit dictates…” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, October 4, 1855
2 Corinthians 11:13-14; “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
Brigham must’ve had a commanding presence to convince so many to believe the lies that came from his mouth.
Joe Smith wasn’t killed because he exposed the sinful ways of others. In fact, Smith was killed because of his own sinful lifestyle of polygamy, and thievery, and that’s just the short version of his ne-er-do-well lifestyle.
Be sure you have the truth beloved!
With Love in Christ;

Personally I believe that Brigham Young helped kill Joseph Smith because Joseph Smith was getting close to expose Brigham Young’s sins and excommunicate him. There are others who believe the same thing, including Joseph Smith’s mother.
Quote:
If you ask me Joseph Smith was in the process of gathering evidence against Brigham Young to excommunicate him for his sins and crimes, which is why Brigham Young helped plan Joseph Smith’s murder, which is talked about in The Exoneration of Emma, Joseph & Hyrum: Part One along with “The Carthage Conspiracy” and Joseph Smith Was Murdered By Freemasons. (Knowing this I find verse Helaman (LDS 6:19) (RLDS 2:128) very telling, especially considering what is being described before and after it, not to mention Helaman (LDS 6:21) (RLDS 2:145).) When that was rooted out of me many other things started to make sense.
Helaman (LDS 6:19) (RLDS 2:128) And it was they [those with secret signs and words] who did murder the chief judge Cezoram [Joseph and Hyrum Smith], and his son [successor, Samuel Smith], while in the judgment-seat; and behold, they were not found.

Brigham Young was a narcissist. Narcissist tend to blame others for what they did or are doing themselves. What he said there was basically his confession.
I think you’re spot on with that one!
Brigham wanted Polygamy and Joseph did not. So Brigham brought about the death of Joseph.
There are many other things about Joseph which were likely altered. And the evidence which is used ‘against’ him is typically that which has been provided by the Brighamites…
Just compare the 1835 D&C to the 1833 Book of Commandments. The change of tone is stark. Because Brigham rounded up all the old copies of the D&C and burnt them, replacing them with forgeries back-dated to support his lies.
He was a charming fellow, for sure..
