Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not; Therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”
The old saying, ‘the more things change, the more they stay the same’ is true to life for the Mormon Church.
Surely, the Church is the poster child for the phrase as seen in the multiple switcheroos we’ve seen as of late.
Once again they’re changing the style of temple garments to accommodate needs of societal change. They’ve now come out with a modern material, in addition to new fittings, especially for the women.
Other notable recent changes include the installment of two non-white apostles, and the well publicized message telling LGBT members they ‘have a place in the kingdom’. This comes on the heels of announcing kids of that community are denied membership in the Church, and labeling gay people as ‘apostates’.
It seems the Church is so busy trying to fit in, they’ve left no time to study God’s word to find out what He thinks.
Pray for those who’ve laid their souls at the feet of this very confusing mess!

THAT SAYS IT ALL!
“Unveiling Grace” is a video about a Mormon family, including an ex-BYU professor, who left the LDS and why.
Very good!

I can’t remember precisely, but was the design for the temple garments given by God? It so, how can they justify changing God’s command?
This is the Mormon god, Mormon rules, etc. for the temple garments. It is not the God of the Bible, which I guess you know. These symbols are from Masonry…Now how they ‘justify’ changing things today, just read the recent post on another change (race) where they changed. They also don’t ‘justify’ changes but issue new changes, without rescinding old rules.
Nothing could be more confusing than Mormonism because LDS doesn’t usually explain “why” they do things; you aren’t allowed to question.

For LDS ARTICLE and LAM response) Hope this helps.
Actually, that was a rhetorical questions. :oD
Well, I’m only here to help those interested in learning about Christianity and leaving Mormonism.
I’m here because there are some excellent articles for reference, and for pointing to from my own blog about Mormonism.
