Journal of Discourses 1:25 “…it is the spirit and intention of the language that are to be looked at, and if the translator does not know this it is impossible for him to translate correctly, and this is the reason why there are so many blunders in the Bible. I believe the English Bible is translated as well as any book could be by uninspired men.” — John Taylor, Great Salt Lake City, August 22, 1852
2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”.
And this coming from a man who used the so-called mistranslated KJV.
No doubt there are many poor versions of the Bible, the Joseph Smith Translation is the first that comes to mind. Why would a reputable man of God utilize something he believes is translated incorrectly?
Whom do you believe — John Taylor, and Joseph Smith, or God?
With Love in Christ;
