General Conference, ‘The Book of Mormon: What Would Your Life Be Like without It?,’ October 2017 “I testify that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. It contains the answers to life’s most compelling questions. It teaches the doctrine of Christ. It expands and clarifies many of the “plain and precious” truths that were lost through centuries of time and numerous translations of the Bible.
The Book of Mormon provides the fullest and most authoritative understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ to be found anywhere. …
The Book of Mormon affirms: The individual identity of Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ…” — Russell M. Nelson
Alma 11:38-39 “Now Zeezrom saith again unto him: Is the Son of God the very Eternal Father?
39 And Amulek said unto him: Yea, he is the very Eternal Father of heaven and of earth, and all things which in them are; he is the beginning and the end, the first and the last…”
2 Timothy 2:25-26 “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
Mr. Nelson is a smart man so it’s not like he made this statement without knowing the BoM narrative. He’s fully aware this book doesn’t contain the correct info about our Lord’s death on the cross.
Why should someone trust a man who doesn’t tell the truth, and purposefully contradicts himself in order to deceive people?
In all sincerity, we’re praying the Mormon people will see this man’s teachings as the lies they are.
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
He really has a lot of nerve….the BofM is not anywhere to be found so that we are able to check to see if it was ‘translated correctly’. Nelson throws up the snippet that there are many things lost in the various translations of the Bible. Well, we are able to go back to the original for clarification. No one can do that with the BofM…..quite convenient and devilish.
Amen to that sister! 🙂 I love the phrase ‘quite convenient and devilish. I may have to quote you in an upcoming article if you don’t mind!
You may use any little thing that helps in the cause of His great name.
🙂 Thanks!
Mormons trust these guys to be speaking directly from the Mouth of God. They will believe and take to heart every word spoken by one of their prophets (Russell M Nelson) before they will believe every word of the Bible. This is mind control in it’s purest form
