July 16 – God’s Sovereignty v. Yours. Psalm 135:6 “Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.”

If God did what He saw fit, who is man to question, or attempt to impede upon His glorious work? Mormons I’ve spoken with have expressed surprise and sometimes doubt, when I tell them God would’ve died on the cross for one, or one billion. They’ve obviously rejected the true Omnipotent God of the Bible.

Ether 12:12 “For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith.”
In Hosea 3:6, the Lord said that “my people are destroyed from a lack of knowledge, because thou has rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee”. God gave us his Word to make us a spiritually knowledgeable people
Mormons have rejected the pure Word of God (Bible) in favor of the ramblings of Joseph Smith and his predecessors (General Authorities). They have added words to God’s Own Words WHICH IN TURN HAVE TAUGHT MORMONS TO BELIEVE THINGS NOT SANCTIONED IN GOD’S OWN WORD.
When Mormons are told that every word spoken by the President of the Church or one of the Apostles is, in fact, the Word of God (scripture), this is elevating these men to the status of God. How important is God’s Word? In Psalm 138:2, the Lord has said that he” Magnifies His Word Above His Own Name.” Mormons must believe that God is not serious about what he said in Psalm 138, because they believe that whatever President Nelson says is, in fact, God’s Word and therefore, scripture
