The Promised Messiah: The First Coming of Christ, 62 “…from other sacred sources we know that Jehovah-Christ, assisted by … Michael …did in fact create the earth and all forms of … life on the face thereof. But when it came to placing man on earth, there was a change in Creators. That is, the Father himself became personally involved.” — Bruce R. McConkie, 1978 [emp. added]
Isaiah 44:6 “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.”
Surely, any student of Mormonism has seen his/her fair share of blasphemous LDS quotes. This one today serves as an example of how confusing it is to be a member of the LDS Church.
First they tell us God created the earth, and next we learn the Mormon god merely organized surrounding elements to form the earth.
In today’s ungodly ‘prophetic insight’, we see how they’ve tried to convince people the Archangel Michael created all forms of life on earth. The only thing Michael seemingly couldn’t do is create mankind, therefore, God steps in with that part of the job.
We have a few questions about this –
1.Where is this in the Bible?
2.Does it not concern these people the theory contradicts what the Bible says?
3.If you’re LDS, which story do you believe?
Oh beloved, sweet Jesus is SO much better than this! His yoke is light – Mt 11:28-30, and not filled with one rabbit trail after another. The cool thing about the Bible is that we read a story of God’s relationship with mankind, and how the Lord ALWAYS stayed the same even when we didn’t.
Pray for those who’ve been raised to believe these things, and those who’ve been tricked into believing them!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
Mormons really don’t believe that Jesus and Michael actually created everything in it’s entirety. They believe that the earth was created by Michael and Jesus by gathering together “matter” that already existed. Doesn’t “Matter” need an energy source to become existent? The problem with Mormons is that, rather than to use the Bible as a source of truth, they will use the words of Joseph Smith and the Prophets to determine the truth.
When, over time, the LDS Prophets disagree over an issue, confusion happens. The Mormons are a very confused people. I say this with love and concern for their spiritual well being
