January 30 – Christians are Proof Joseph Smith Lied. Leviticus 14:11 “And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation”.
Luke 5:12-14 “And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him. 14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.”
Acts 6:7 “And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.”

Joseph Smith’s name coupled with Jesus?! … How many signs did Jesus put in your life to show you He is God? How many years did it take for you to acquiesce and not abscond? We all have our excuses, but God’s power outweighs all those! Our text says that a great company of priests believed which meant they had to change their clothing. Their outward appearance served an example of what takes place inside believers when they become new. Additionally, the word ‘company’ means multitude which tells us there’s no way claims made by the Mormon Church could be true.
Mormons want people to believe true Christianity fizzled out with the advent of the apostles death, but nothing could be further from the truth. Proof of that is you. If you’re a Christian, you stand as a definitive example Joseph Smith lied.
The Apostle Peter spent part of his missionary labors in the city of Joppa which is now called Jaffa. Jaffa is part of the area known as Tel Aviv. This is where he brought Tabitha back to life and it’s shortly before his vision on the rooftop.

Ensign, ‘Joseph Smith, Restorer of Truth,’ December 2013 “The day will come—and it is not far distant, either—when the name of the Prophet Joseph Smith will be coupled with the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of God, as his representative, as his agent whom he chose, ordained and set apart to lay anew the foundations of the Church of God in the world, which is indeed the Church of Jesus Christ, possessing all the powers of the gospel, all the rites and privileges, the authority of the Holy Priesthood, and every principle necessary to fit and qualify both the living and the dead to inherit eternal life, and to attain to exaltation in the kingdom of God.”
The Ensign Article quoted above (December 2013), predicting the future, sort of reminds me of Paul’s encounter with the female fortune teller in Acts 16. This gal was a slave and made money for her masters by fortune telling. Joe Smith was actually arrested for such activity, called at the time, glass gazing.
Anyway, the Ensign article predicts that one day the name of Joe Smith and Jesus Christ will be coupled together and the whole world will know that Joe Smith was God’s representative on earth.
Acts 16:16,17
“Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a female slave who had a SPIRIT BY WHICH SHE PREDICTED THE FUTURE.. She earned a great deal of money (Tithing) for her masters by fortune telling. She followed Paul and the rest of us shouting:”These men are servants of the most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” She kept this up for many days. finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and SAID TO THE SPIRIT (not the girl), “In the name of Jesus Christ, i command you to come out of her.” At that moment, the spirit left her.
Most of the prophecies of church leaders, speakers or writers, to include that which is written in the Ensign magazine, have never come to pass
The book of Peter, Chapter 2, talks directly about Mormon prophets and the people that choose to follow them
2 Peter 2: 1,2
“But there were false prophets among the people JUST AS THERE WILL BE AMONG YOU. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. MANY (Church members) WILL FOLLOW THEIR DEPRAVED CONDUCT AND WILL BRING THE TRUTH INTO DISPUTE. IN THEIR GREED, THESE TEACHERS WILL EXPLOIT YOU WITH FABRICATED STORIES.” (2 Peter 2:1-3)
