March 2 – The Eyeore Complex. Galatians 2:16 “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”

Share with a Mormon what a joy it is being a Christian! What awesome truth did Jesus show you today? Sometimes life is messy because it’s a sinful world, so remind the Mormon joy is found in knowing that because Christ died, we’re justified. Using scripture (demonstrative evidence) gives them something to think upon in their alone time.
You’ll notice their apostle’s outlook I’ve dubbed the ‘Eyeore complex’, is rather dismal.

Daily Messages, Commandments – “Life is not easy, nor was it meant to be…. living temple-worthy lives will hold together all that really matters.” — Quentin L. Cook, “Shipshape and Bristol Fashion: Be Temple Worthy—in Good Times and Bad Times
In the Bible, Jesus tells us about good works. First, the Lord does not want us to violate any of the 10 Commandments. Everybody understand this one, even non-believers. In fact, every civilized society, whether they be Christ centered or not, uses the 10 Commandments as a basis for building a civilized society.
In Matthew 22″34-40), Jesus pretty much sums up what God expects of us. Jesus said; ” Love the Lord God with all your heart and mind and your neighbor as yourself. Jesus said that all the laws, works, good deeds, being good neighbor etc, hung on these two commandments.
There are no rules that God has given us that in the slightest way resemble those given to Mormons by their church authorities.
In 1 Corinthians 10:31 the Lord tells us:” So whether you eat or drink or whatsoever you do, do it all for God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether they be Jews, Greeks or the Church of God. Do not seek your own good, but the good of many, so that they be saved.”
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
The works God wants us to do simply involve; LOVING OTHER PEOPLE AS YOU WOULD YOURSELF and to LOVE THE LORD GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART. WE ARE TO GO ABOUT OUR DAILY BUSINESS, SETTING A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR OTHERS, SO THAT OTHERS, IN TURN, CAN SEE OUR GOOD EXAMPLE (CHARACTER) AND IN SO DOING, COME TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST AS THEIR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR.
Also, in Colossians 3:17:The Lord tells us, that: WHATEVER WE DO OR SAY, DO IT OR SAY IT IN SUCH A WAY AS TO BRING GLORY TO GOD.
