April 13 –– God Never Changes Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: But the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
_____
Explain with demonstrative examples of how you personally have been able to rely upon the Lord because He’s always the same. Not only is He always the same, but His word is also unchanging. Imagine the loneliness for a Mormon knowing their leaders can change the rules at any time, and on any day.

“Stay in the Boat and Hold On!” “‘Keep [your] eyes … on the leaders of the Church’. … We will not and … cannot lead [you] astray. … I have discovered in my ministry that those who have become lost [and] confused are typically those who have most often … forgotten that when the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve speak with a united voice, it is the voice of the Lord for that time.” — M. Russell Ballard
“……the voice of the Lord for that time”? I am not sure I have read anything more lamentable than those blasphemous words. Has that fellow ever read the Bible? He can repent but absolute power corrupts absolutely.
As a career military man The Old Sarge (25 years in uniform), was called upon to go to war. While I was in the military, I used to read Psalm 91 a lot, especially before a combat mission (patrol). What is interesting, is that many GI’s have sort of claimed the 91st Pslm as one of their own. I have heard chaplains refer to the 91st Psalm, as the GI’s Psalm. When that Psalm was written, I believe that David was likely preparing for battle. His (Gods) words speak directly to the occupants of battlefields throught time and location.
