3 Nephi 8:5 “And it came to pass in the thirty and fourth year, in the first month, on the fourth day of the month, there arose a great storm, such an one as never had been known in all the land.”
Leviticus 23:4 “In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD’S passover.”
Numbers 28:16 “And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD.”
Although the Bible doesn’t give the exact year of Jesus’ crucifixion, we do know the month, and day. We know this because of the numerous times (71) the Bible mentions the Passover. An article on Christianity.com states that Jesus was crucified in 33 AD.
The BoM passage above is the closest reference there is to any mention of the Passover, and another reminder Smith lied. It also shows how the Nephites/Lamanites couldn’t have been of Jewish descent.
Just as the Israelites were then, the Jewish people today are very meticulous of when they observe Passover. The BoM dates are ten days off – this never would’ve happened, then, or now.
Share this info with the Mormon you know, and lovingly explain why this is one of the most important days in the history of mankind!
With Love in Christ;
