D&C 130:5 “But there are no angels who minister to this earth but those who do belong or have belonged to it.”
Answers to Gospel Questions 2:98 “There is a prevailing idea today, which arose during the centuries of apostasy, that angels are superior to human beings in their nature–in fact, that they belong to an entirely distinct and different race.
Angels are ministering servants who carry messages from our Eternal Father and his Son Jesus Christ. All angels coming to Adam after the fall were spirits belonging to this earth who had not yet obtained bodies of flesh and bones. After men had been translated as was Enoch, they, as translated beings, could and did come to minister unto the prophets.” — Joseph Fielding Smith
Genesis 5:28-29 “And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: 29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.”
Today we’re taking another look at the LDS version of Noah, and have one question …
If Noah was Gabriel, or Elias, how could he also be the sexually begotten son of the Mormon Heavenly Father and Mother?
For more LDS explanations of Noah and Gabriel, see the following in our 3,000+ Reasons –
Noah
Noah, aka Gabriel, Names Jesus – Mark E. Petersen, Apostle
Noah Floated Down the Mississippi – John A. Widstoe, 1987
Noah’s Ark Made in America – The Juvenile Instructor, pp 700-701
If you’re LDS, what are your thoughts about Noah being Gabriel? The Bible is pretty clear when it says he was born to Lamech.
If you’re Christian, please share this info w/ a Mormon, and in a loving manner, ask for their opinion.
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
First Adam, now Noah… who’s next…Jonah perhaps?
The Noah floated down the Mississippi??? I wonder if they stopped in New Orleans for some jambalaya.
You keep coming up with such great things to demonstrate the false nature of Mormonism. It would be wonderful if Mormons read your posts and started thinking about what confused messes they are believing.
