Nameless Brother of Jared Sees Jesus 700 years Before Moses Sees God
The Improvement Era, Vol. 13, No. 1, November 1909, p 78 “More than seven hundred years before Moses was shown the things pertaining to this earth, another great prophet, known to us as the brother of Jared, was similarly favored by the Lord. He was even permitted to behold the spirit-body of the foreordained Savior, prior to His incarnation; and so like the body of a man was His spirit in form and appearance, that the prophet thought he was gazing upon a being of flesh and blood. He first saw the finger and then the entire body of the Lord— all in the spirit.”
Matthew 11:27 “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.”
The biblical text is clear. There are no scriptures indicating that someone, or for that matter anyone, saw Jesus before He was born.
The Greek word for know is epiginoôskoô which means “to know upon some mark, that is, recognise; by implication to become fully acquainted with, to acknowledge:—(ac-, have, take) know (-ledge, well), perceive”. – Strong’s Exhuastive Concordance.
If we take the Bible at its word, our minds and thoughts will harmonize with what He’s revealed to us which means no one knew Him, nor had they seen Him before He came here as a man.
Also see Galatians 4:4 “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law.”
Now this tells us it wasn’t until the appointed time that God the Father sent His Son to become man.
Why would God contradict Himself and allow anyone to be ministered to by Jesus before His appointed time?
Furthermore, if this guy was that important why didn’t the Book of Mormon include his name? All references to “the brother of Jared” are just that; “the brother of Jared”. Is this a joke? It certainly sounds like one.
These things found in the Book of Mormon can’t be taken seriously.
Lastly beloved, if God could hand Moses the tablets inscribed with the 10 Commandments already intact in their own language, why couldn’t He do the same for Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon?
Oh, please pray for these dear people to stop and think about these things! We pray our Lord will open their minds to think clearly and not be afraid to do so.

Your observation that Moses received the stone tablets written by God in their known language and the BoM needed to be translated is something I have never considered. Fabulous point. I have wondered by the BoM was translated into the King James English when Nephi et al., obviously did not speak it. It’s all so blatantly false. To believe the true Word of God is sufficient and all encompassing in the Bible.
