General Conference, ‘The Gospel Light of Truth and Love’, April 2021 “Thanks to the commencing of the ongoing Restoration just over 200 years ago, “the gospel light of truth and love” now shines brightly throughout the earth. … Highlighting the rapid growth of the Church, President Russell M. Nelson recently said: “Today, the Lord’s work in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is moving forward at an accelerated pace. The Church will have an unprecedented, unparalleled future.”
As we gather on both sides of the veil, as we make sacrifices to serve and make the temple pivotal in our lives, the Lord is truly building us — He is building His covenant people.” — Alan R. Walker
Psalm 127:1 “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”
The talk we’re looking at today ranks up there with one of the most dismal of General Conference talks we’ve seen in a long while.
Mr. Walker seemed to be a detached participant in the line of guest speakers at this last conference. He and many of the other speakers referenced all the works of their prophet and while that happens at most of their conferences, this seemed excessive.
A good portion of Mr. Walker’s talk was a mirror image of info the Church provides on their site for ‘Church Growth’. His talk focused on the immense growth of the Church and his feel-good memories of going to the temple at 2 yrs. of age while making a stop at Disneyland along the way.
There was no mention of what Jesus’ spilt blood on the cross did for us, nor was there any mention of the miraculous way God has grown the body of Christ over the past 2,000 years.
Neither was there any mention of the Lord taking up residence inside the believer making them the temple of God. 1 Cor. 3:16, 6:19.
Mr. Walker’s talk provided a classic example of those who do the Church’s bidding. Their gospel is bereft of anything to do with sweet Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross to provide salvation. There was no mention of where and how the original church grew and the many sacrifices they made for the sake of the gospel.
The sole purpose of this talk was to degrade the Lord’s work by stating the gospel was growing at an ‘accelerated rate’. The truth is just the opposite. Their own report stated growth of the Church plunged by nearly 50%.
Don’t forget to pray for this man and his family, as well as those who listened to his lies!
With Love in Christ —

[…] General Conference Lies: Rapid Growth of LDS Church […]
I think maybe, he may have confused the Haunted Mansion for the temple.😀
You might be on to something there! 🙂
Yeah…All those dead people want to be baptized.
Their ‘church’ is their idol. God has made it clear in His word, He will not give His glory to another. Isaiah 42:8! They run roughshod over His finished work. Veil, really? It was torn from top to bottom at the death of God on the cross. Heretics. I despise the lying leaders of this evil organization.
How come nobody outside the Mormon Church has ever heard of Pres Russell M Nelson? If I was “said to be”, the world’s only living prophet, I would be too embarrassed to even show my face at General Conference. A prophet is somebody that is supposed to proclaim the gospel of Christ to the entire world. A true prophet of God is somebody that is supposed to warn the world of God’s displeasure at being ignored and denied. A true prophet of God should be tireless and unwavering in his attempts to get air time on CNN or Fox News. A true prophet of God would make sure that every person in the world would have the chance to hear his voice, proclaiming the good news of the Biblical gospel. Instead, Pres Nelson sits in SLC, relying on young missionaries to spread a false gospel of distorted words, created by the Prince of this World and given to Joseph Smith, via a demonic messenger of deceit, called Moroni.
Even as an active member, this annoyed me. Jesus commanded the apostles to go out into the world and live amongst the gentiles.
