General Conference, ‘What has Our Savior done for Us?’, April 2021 “The Savior has done everything essential for one’s successful journey through mortality toward the joyful destiny outlined in God’s plan of salvation.” — Dallin H. Oaks
Hebrews 9:12 “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”
If Mr. Oaks was telling the truth there’d be no reason to have all those temples! Of course, he carried on with other lies in his talk, however, one of the very first things he said in his talk (seen above) was used as another tool to confuse members. Apparently, they don’t believe Jesus did enough…
Pray for and ask a Mormon for their opinion about this man’s statement.
With Love in Christ —
Michelle
[…] Lies Told by Apostle Oaks at 2021 General Conference […]
Well, best Quote ever, this year goes to President Nelson. It’s actually turned into a bit of a meme.
“Lazy learners and lax disciples will always struggle to muster even a particle of faith.” But in order to get the full effect you have to watch him say it, if I could figure out how to share the link, I would. Just Google “lazy learners” and it should pop up. It’s 13 seconds.
So he is basically saying doubters are lazy and lax. I think it’s the other way around. The doubters do a lot more work looking into the truth claims, than the ones who don’t question.
And you’re right Michelle, they don’t need the temples. Building 20 more temples is a ruse, so they think the church is growing. Scientology has been doing it for years. In fact in the documentary a few years ago, they went to a lot of their properties and filmed empty buildings and vacant lots.
