April 5 – Mormon Holy Ghost Not Always Available. Acts 8:14-17 “Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.”

It’s rather ironic that the Church would bless its members with the gift of the Holy Ghost. They don’t believe He can be in more than one place at a time. In the book Articles of Faith, p. 160 it says; “Plainly, such expressions as being filled with the Holy Ghost, and His falling upon person, have reference to the powers and influences that emanate from God, and which are characteristic of Him; for the Holy Ghost may in this way operate simultaneously upon many persons even though they be widely separated, whereas the actual person of the Holy Ghost cannot be in more than one place at a time”.

Point 8. “The true church must bestow the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands. Acts 8:14-7.”

“But very truly I tell you,it is good for you that I am going away,. Unless I go away, the advocate (Holy Spirit), will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him (Holy Ghost) to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to e wrong about sin and righteousness and judgement..” (John 16:7,8)
“And I will ask the Father and He will give you another advocate, the Holy Spirit, to help you and be with you FOREVER….the Spirit of TRUTH.” (John 14:16)
The Mormon church complicaS Jesus’s alway simple messages, by adding their own twists and caveats. What the Mormon church does is to take Jesus message and add a message of their own, on top of what the Savior said. This additional message (LDS doctrine), demands that church members follow an additional set of rules in order to be saved. These additional “set of LDS rules” are devised to benefit the Mormon church, not mankind. For example, in order to receive salvation, one must have not only faith in the blood of Jesus, but must also have the Saving Ordinances performed on them, These ordinances can only be performed in the LDS Temple(s). In order to enter the Temple, you must comply with LDS church rules, requirements and qualifications. These rules dictate that you must tithe 10% of your total income to enter the LDS Temple. So, who really benefits in all these blasphemous, unbiblical set of church rules? Not the members, for they have been told to pay their tithing before their rent, groceries or medical bills. The church is the only benefactor .
soldiermp…..you have hit it on the head. That church threatens their way to ‘heaven and blessings’. Why couldn’t I see it when I was in it? I see it so clearly now. Liars, cheaters, deceivers, evil-doers. Praying for you lost still-believing family.
Amen to you Sandra and SoldierMP! I posted that reference as a reminder for our post today and their 20 new temples.
