June 15 – Only God Heals Us. Isaiah 53:4-5; “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
_____
This brief passage in Isaiah is filled with promises of what Jesus has done for us! Why would we look anywhere else, or to anyone else, for a partial, not to mention temporary healing? Both The Teacher’s and Adam Clarke’s Commentaries respectively, explain what Jesus’ sufferings did for you and me in Isaiah this way;
He took our place, bearing our weaknesses and sorrows, moreover, our pacification brought us peace and favor with God. Mr. Clarke’s commentary noted the word pacification was definitively seen in 21 manuscripts in vs. 5, and in vs. 4 the word ‘he’ was before ‘carried our sorrows’. This Mr. Clarke noted, ‘adds force to the sense, and elegance to the construction’. Not only does Jesus carry the load for us when we’re in dire straits, God took pains to ensure we’d always know how much He loves us by keeping His word safe. This is an amazing God we have!
Be sure to share these things with a Mormon, and pray God will protect their hearts from accepting meaningless messages like the one we see today. Most moms are great, but in no way could they ever heal the souls of men.

“Are We Not All Mothers?” “No woman who understands the gospel would ever say, “I am just a mother,” for mothers heal the souls of men.” — Sheri L. Dew
Priesthood blessings were something that I always despised. I remember giving a blessing to an elderly man that was having some severe health issues. My companion was t give the blessing while i blessed the oil. I remember speaking from my heart, asking God to use this sanctified oil as a co- means of helping to bring about healing to this afflicted man. After I gave the blessing for the oil, my companion stopped me and told me that I had used the wrong words and used words that were not spoken in the correct sequence. I again attempted to bless the oils and again my companion had to correct me. After a couple of attempts, I finally got it right. Reminds me of the sacrament prayers and how many times I have seen the person giving the prayer have to repeat the prayer several times before getting the nod from the Bishop. What kind of God are these Mormons serving? Do they really think that God is up there with a score card, liner notes, a copy of the celestial rules and regulations that must be complied with or else.
God searches the heart of men, not their ability to announce or pronounce words from a script that has been written out on laminated notebook paper.
When current presidents of the church throw previous presidents under the bus….as the culture changes, if you ask me, I know the entire ‘outfit’ is corrupt. Not a church but a franchise. Lockstep is a dangerous thing and can never show the heart of an individual. The Lord has said He wants to give us a new heart….not a lockstep heart.
About healing. “He sent HIS WORD and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.” (psalm 107:20)
“And THE WORD was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we behold His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and of truth.” (John 1:14)
It is God that heals and without God and His Holy Spirit working on our behalf, healing isn’t going to take place. How can Mormons believe that a priesthood blessing is going to result in divine healing without the presence of God’s Holy Spirit? The Mormons don’t even believe in God’s own words when defining the very nature of His spirit.
