General Conference, Shall We Not Go on in So Great a Cause, April 2020 “Joseph came to realize that the Bible did not contain all the answers to life’s questions; rather, it taught men and women how they could find answers to their questions by communicating directly with God through prayer.” — M. Russell Ballard
1 Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”.
There you have it. An LDS apostle and his church’s founding father both agree. The Bible is unreliable and is no guarantee the Lord God Almighty speaks to mankind today through His word.
We’re wondering…
Where does it say the Bible doesn’t contain all the answers to life’s questions?
How do you know you’re praying to the right God if you believe Joseph Smith and Mr. Ballard?
Why does the BoM plagiarize the Bible if it’s insufficient?
Our list of questions could go on forever but at the end of the day, the two Bible verses above contradict everything ever produced by the Church.
Mr. Ballard gave this talk a year ago so it should still be fresh in the minds of LDS members. Please, pray for those who believed this man and for Jesus to intervene!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
So Ballard says men and women can go directly to god in prayer for answers to their questions…….then why is there a ‘living prophet’ hanging around? It’s all such garbage. I shudder when I read quotes that demean the Bible. What a terrifying place to be.
Amen sister! Oh the tangled web they weave…
