“And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.” Acts 5:41
General Conference, ‘Scriptural Witnesses’, October 2007 “…Scriptures of the Restoration do not compete with the Bible; they complement the Bible. … To doubters of that second witness—the Book of Mormon—the Lord issued a warning: “Because you have treated lightly the things you have received … [you] shall remain under … condemnation until [you] repent and remember … the Book of Mormon and the former commandments which I have given …, [the Bible, and] … do according to that which I have written.”21 — Russell Nelson
Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
So, the BoM is actually a witness claiming the Bible is wrong. (See Mr. Nelson’s footnote #21 below.)
As a matter of fact, the entire chapter of 2nd Nephi 29 goes into great detail claiming the Gentiles wrongly cry out they don’t need anything but their Bibles. This too was more rhetoric laden with threats to try and scare people into submission. If their claims were true then what’s the deal with the threats?
True believers can quickly dismiss the strong-arm tactics of the evil one knowing the God of the Bible would never introduce new writings that contradict what He’s always proclaimed.
Please, pray for LDS members to turn to Jesus who has already shown us He alone is trustworthy.
With Love in Christ —

D&C 84:54, 57 “And your minds in times past have been darkened because of unbelief, and because you have treated lightly the things you have received— 57 And they shall remain under this condemnation until they repent and remember the new covenant, even the Book of Mormon and the former commandments which I have given them, not only to say, but to do according to that which I have written—”

Since there were no Bibles yet when “Nephi” was around, how could this be in his “book”?
