thechurchnews.com “Even Saints who are otherwise the most faithful Saint can be derailed by the steady beat of Babylon’s band. … Spiritual doors will open, President Nelson promised. “You will learn how to part the veil between heaven and earth, how to ask for God’s angels to attend you, and how better to receive direction from heaven. Your diligent efforts to do so will reinforce and strengthen your spiritual foundation.”” — Russell Nelson
Matthew 27:50-51 “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent”.
I’ve always said nothing else could surprise me with the comments made by LDS leaders yet I’m still taken aback by the things they come up with.
What we’ve noticed since Nelson took the helm at LDS.inc is how his remarks are more brazen than his recent predecessors. We’re not saying the others were biblically sound mind you! This guy seems to say things not heard for the past 50+ years.
To even think we can take part in parting the veil is the highest form of blasphemy so we’re praying members of the Church will disregard everything this man said! My heart is broken for those like my mother who listened to the lies of this false prophet.
Of course, we’ll be looking at the rest of his speeches in the next few days as well as those of other leaders. Indeed, the steady beat of Babylon’s drum is heard each time they publish anything.
For now, please pray for the Mormon you know and ask for their opinion about Mr. Nelson’s talk.
With Love in Christ —

The Temple veil was about 60 ft. high, it’s important to note how the veil was torn. The Bible specifically says it was torn in two from top to bottom meaning, it was parted by God himself and not man. If man “attempted” to do this, most likely they would’ve tried to part it from the bottom up. And as Michelle said it would be the “highest form of blasphemy”. Not to mention putting the veil back up…Oh wait! They did that too.
I’ve seen and heard a lot of things that really have to be stretched to make a connection, but stretch as you might… This didn’t even come close to connecting. You’re trying to compare a simple comment about shutting out the noise of social media and other evil noise, praying, and being able to feel the Spirit of God, to the actual, physical veil of the temple being torn? Please… If that’s the best you got, you ain’t got much. But, keep kicking against the pricks as long as that’s working for you. I was entertained though, so thanks for that. : )
Mr. Skywalker, I have a two part question for you. Do Christians have temples? And why did God tear down the veil?
And one more thing…you do realize the Christian Church never had a temple. And the Jews never had multiple temples, they only had one, and only in one place the Temple mount on Mount Moriah.
Thank you for your comment, and looking forward to your reply.
