December 10 — Mormonism’s Fog of Confusion. 1 Peter 2:6; “Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.”

Our Lord is so good to us! Here He promises that we shall never be confounded when we believe in Him. The Greek word for confounded is kataischunoô. It means to shame down, dishonored or disgraced. Now the Mormon teachings say that if you ever speak against the Church you will be confounded. I don’t know of anyone yet who this has happened to, myself included. In fact, whenever someone leaves the Church, the opposite happens. The fog of confusion is lifted, and self-assurance sets in pretty quickly.
