January 12 – Hiding Behind Lies. 1 Timothy 3:2 “A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach”.

Paul was obviously making sure men of the church understood their roles as leaders. They’re to be blameless, sober, understanding, oh, and only have one wife. More than one causes strife, leads to incest, rebellion, jealousy, malcontent…
However, we see in other Mormon scriptures where they’ve conveniently hidden behind their many lies. Their gospel is a charade to trick the unsuspecting.

D&C 49:16 “Wherefore it is lawful that he should have one wife, and they twain shall be one flesh, and all this that the earth might answer the end of its creation”. Ask your Mormon friend what they think of this verse in light of D&C 132:4.
