January 13 – God’s Promise Ignored with Racist Lies. Genesis 22:8 “And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.”
John 1:29 “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

The Lamb of God promised ignored …
Today we’re wondering…why didn’t the Bible specify that Jesus’ sacrifice wouldn’t extend to certain people groups? Why have they twisted God’s word into something it is not? It seems they’ve gone out of their way to take attention away from the Lord’s promise to hide the truth.
Moreover, why would God set up His kingdom in a geographical area of the world where people aren’t white? Evidence clearly shows that people born in the region where Abraham lived aren’t ‘white and delightsome’.

The Negroes are not equal with other races where the receipt of certain blessings are concerned, particularly the priesthood and the temple blessings that flow there from, but this inequality is not of man’s origin, it is the Lord’s doings.” – Bruce McConkie

Shame on Bruce but the church can suggest he was never a prophet so he was speaking for himself, I suppose.
All this racism was cancelled when the LDS received a “revelation” after the rest of the country decided not to play football, etc with BYU teams because the LDS were racist.
I thought the church changed its racists policies b/c the gov’t was going to take away their tax benefits…they were practicing discrimination. Suddenly, the heavens opened and cleared the way. 🙁
Hi Sandra,
You may be right. The thing about the sports was something I was told about 30 years ago.
Glenn, It’s probably a combo of both things. The church plays a good game of bait and switch.
Glenn & Sandra –
FWIW – I think you’re both spot on. Once again the bottom line is ruled by 2 factors. The pocketbook & public appearance. 🙁
