November 17 – One temple at a time. Ezra 6:5 “And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God.”

This verse is just an example to show there was never but one temple at a time built for the Lord.
There have been two temples built over the course of history, but there’s only been one at a time.
The Babylonians had many temples though, and you’ll see in today’s quote the Mormons have it wrong again.

Alma 16:13 “And Alma and Amulek went forth preaching repentance to the people in their temples, and in their sanctuaries, and also in their synagogues, which were built after the manner of the Jews.”
[…] One Temple At A Time […]
Excellent point. One temple at a time and not needed anymore. OTOH, now that the church has supported gay marriage, will they perform said ceremonies in SLC?
I just read about that today. apparently they said they did this to protect the marriage law which in turn protects their non-prof status. Oh brother…see the SL Trib article – https://www.sltrib.com/religion/2022/11/15/lds-church-comes-out-federal/
Yes ma’am…..I knew it was about the money. It always is with this church. It certainly isn’t about God and His Word and if they think they are not going to be attacked about same-sex temple sealings, I imagine that day isn’t too far off. Slippery, slippery, slippery.
I’m often reminded of Acts 5:41 when it comes to this kind of thing. They counted it all joy – that’s true for Christians not so much for those in TSCC.
