November 7 — Replacing the Curtain God Tore Down. Dan. 9:26c “…and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”
Matthew 27:50-51; “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.”

Because of the events in the temple we have access to Him. Imagine what that scene must’ve been like for those at the time…wow!
Share the incredible value of this fulfilled prophecy with Mormons – proof that this happened is the Wailing Wall which is the only structure left to the temple.
The Church recently spoke on ‘approaching the throne with confidence’ which should be troublesome to Mormons in light of our scriptures today. They’ve systematically put that curtain back up with their ordinances and works and have disregarded the historical and spiritual impact this has for every man, woman and child.

Doctrines of Salvation 2:6 “COMPLETE OBEDIENCE BRINGS ETERNAL LIFE. But to be exalted one must keep the whole law. This is the great love he shows forth for his children: notwithstanding they sin and close their eyes against the truth, yet his arm is stretched out still, and he will feel after them and bring them back if they will keep his commandments; and if not, he will do for them just the best he can.” – Joseph Fielding Smith

I recently learned you also get a new name when you go through the endowment ceremony. So one receives a new name when they take their endowments and when they get married for time and eternity???
How many “new names” does god need before he’ll let someone into the “celestial kingdom”?
Something else to think about… Why didn’t the Jews ever rebuild their temple.
If you are not aware, NOTHING done in the LDS temple, was ever done in the Biblical Temple. So how can it be a restoration?
Every so often I drive a couple blocks out of my way on my way home from work and drive by the the Yorba Linda temple site and pray. It’s still under construction.

Great question on why they didn’t rebuild the temple. 😉
As for the new name…
Here’s a couple of links on our site that talk about this –
