December 5 — LDS Jesus is One of Many Saviors. Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
Matthew 1:21-23 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

At one time Edward Tullidge (author of our reference today), was a well-respected member of the Church. During that time, he wrote Women of Mormondom, with a fair amount of ‘help’ from Eliza Roxcy Snow, sister of Lorenzo Snow. They were given a hearty approval for their work by no less than Brigham Young. Tullidge eventually left the Church, and joined a number of Mormon off-shoots.
The reference we’ve used today seems sensationalistic, I’m sure. In realty, it isn’t at all. What is said in this book still holds true in Mormonism today. All Mormons work for their salvation in hopes of becoming gods of their own world. The only difference between then, and now, is the way they presented their beliefs. Share the truth on how God fulfilled His promise as seen in our Bible references above.
Many Mormons have never heard that Jesus is God! The LDS doctrine about their Jesus is nothing short of deplorable.

Women of Mormondom, pp. 191 – 193 “The Christ is not dragged from his heavenly estate, to be mere mortal, but mortals are lifted up to his celestial plane. He is still the God-Man; but he is one among many brethren who are also God-Men.
Moreover, Jesus is one of a grand order of Saviours. Every world has its distinctive Saviour, and every dispensation its Christ. There is a glorious Masonic scheme among the Gods…
Woman is heiress of the Gods. She is joint heir with her elder brother, Jesus the Christ; but she inherits from her God-Father and her God-Mother.
Jesus is the “beloved” of that Father and Mother–their well-tried Son, chosen to work out the salvation and exaltation of the whole human family. … The God-Father is not robbed of his everlasting glory by this maternal completion of himself. It is an expansion both of deity and humanity. They twain are one God!” — Edward Tullidge
