‘Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.’ Jude 24-25
Today we’re taking a look at four talks given at the April 2023 Conference. Please, pray for ways to lovingly share the truth with a Mormon!
Easter Is Why Mormons Build Temples
The Answer is Always Jesus Christ “Easter Sunday is the most important religious observance for followers of Jesus Christ. … Jesus Christ is the reason we build temples.” — Russell Nelson
LDS Took Page From Satan’s Playbook
General Conference, ‘Peacemakers Needed,’ April 2023 “Those who foster contention are taking a page out of Satan’s playbook, whether they realize it or not. “No man can serve two masters.” We cannot support Satan with our verbal assaults and then think that we can still serve God.” — Russell Nelson
Mr. Nelson is a smart guy which means he knows that he’s deliberately lied about the things he said in the two talks listed above.
1.Jesus came into the world so we wouldn’t have to do works in the temple!
2.The BoM is filled with verbal assaults against non-whites. Furthermore, their prophet authored the Doctrine and Covenants claiming that everyone but Mormons will be going to hell – D&C 1:30.
Bible Used 35+ Times In One Talk
General Conference, ‘The Teachings of Jesus Christ,’ April 2023 “Before the Fall, our Heavenly Father spoke directly to Adam and Eve. … Thereafter, the Father introduced His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, as our Savior and Redeemer and gave us the command to “hear Him.” …
From this direction we conclude that the scriptural records of words spoken by “God” or the “Lord” are almost always the words of Jehovah, our risen Lord, Jesus Christ.” — Dallin Oaks [emp. added]
1.We have to wonder why they’d refer to Jesus as the risen Lord before His resurrection. To read his talk in full see link provided above.
2.Besides being unbiblical, why would God introduce His Son twice? Matthew 3:17 tells us that when Jesus was baptized a voice came down from heaven to announce that Jesus was His Son. If God had already done this why would He need to say this again?
3.Mr. Oaks’ talk consisted of more than 35 biblical references along with their own interpretation of what God said in His word.
If they don’t believe in the God of the Bible why would they bother using it at all?
1st Palm Sunday Is Reminder To Work
Hosanna to the Most High God “Nearly 2,000 years ago, throngs of worshippers stood at the gates of Jerusalem, holding palms and crying “Hosanna!” to Jesus of Nazareth. This first Palm Sunday “marked the beginning of the last week of the mortal ministry of Jesus Christ.” …
“Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the events of the week that followed exemplify doctrine we can apply in our lives today.” The lessons are to “embrace prophecy and prophetic teachings, act on promptings of the Holy Ghost, become a true disciple…” — Ronald A. Rasband [emp. added]
1.Not sure what Mr. Rasband meant by the ‘first Palm Sunday’ but the Bible mentions that it happened only once.
2.Jesus’ triumphal entry is self-explanatory. He didn’t go into Jerusalem to give Mormons the opportunity to embrace LDS prophecy, nor did His arrival mean that people could act on promptings of the Holy Ghost. Jesus hadn’t said anything to His disciples yet. This didn’t take place until after the Lord’s resurrection! Acts 1:8 —
‘But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.’
This man’s talk was far from anything that happened in Jerusalem.
We pray these four talks will prompt all of us to be on our knees! Be sure to share the truth about temples and the purpose of Palm Sunday with a Mormon you know!
With Love in Christ —
