Ensign, ‘Rise Up, O Men of God,’ Nov. 2006, 61 “All of us would do well to study the life of the Master and try to emulate His words and doings. We would likewise do well to study the life of the Prophet Joseph. From his example, each of us could learn much concerning our own behavior.”
John 7:17-18 “If any man willeth to do his will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from myself. 18 He that speaketh from himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.”
Well, we could definitely do well by studying the lives of both Jesus and Joseph.
The life of Jesus gives us a fail-safe way of living a righteous life.
Knowing about Joe Smith can show us how not to live a righteous life.
Smith led a life of debauchery which got him killed. If you’re going to emulate Joe, you have to be a polygamist and is this what you’re willing to do?
Please pray for those who believe Smith is a good role model and follow Jesus instead!
