February 24 – Why do Mormons Baptize Kids Who Can’t Sin “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. Romans 3:23.
_____
Not one Mormon believes that children can sin. Yet, they baptize at the age of eight to be cleansed from their sins because this is when they believe you become accountable for your actions.
Have a Mormon try to explain away a two-year-old child’s behavior.
Also ask in a loving manner, why they’d have to be baptized for a remission of sins if they were perfect up until that time.
_____
D&C 29:47-48 “Wherefore, they cannot sin, for power is not given unto Satan to tempt little children, until they begin to become accountable before me; For it is given unto them even as I will, according to mine own pleasure, that great things may be required at the hands of their fathers”.
