June 27 — Trees and Veggies in Preexistence. Journal of Discourses 21:200-201 “We are also told in this inspired translation, that these living trees which we behold—for God has given life unto all things—had their spiritual existence in heaven before their temporal existence; every herb and every tree, before it was planted out on the earth, that is, the spiritual part of it, the life of it, that which, in other words, animates that which gives power to the vegetable to bring forth fruit after its likeness—the spiritual part existed in heaven.” — Orson Pratt, November 12th, 1879.
2 Corinthians 11:13-14 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
Mr. Pratt’s opinion was interesting to say the least.
There’s obviously nothing in the Bible to support his theory. If he had just stuck to the true Word of God, we wouldn’t have false teachings like this floating around.
Ask the Mormon you know if they believe trees and veggies were around in the preexistence.

Wow, what a wild imagination. Too bad Mormons believe him. 🙏🙏🙏🙏for all of them.
Yeah Mr. Pratt could come up with some crazy ideas. I often wonder what my relatives must have thought back then… sigh…
Just like the idea that the earth is a living, spiritual being, this teaching is straight out of New Age pantheism.
amen, amen, amen!!!
