September 28 — Jesus Fathered Children. Journal of Discourses 2:79-80, 82 “Did the Saviour of the world consider it to be his duty to fulfil all righteousness? You answer, yes. Even the simple ordinance of baptism he would not pass by, for the Lord commanded it, and therefore it was righteousness to obey what the Lord had commanded, and he would fulfil all righteousness. Upon this hypothesis I will go back to the beginning, and notice the commandment that was given to our first parents in the Garden of Eden. The Lord said unto them, “Multiply and replenish the earth. …”… Our first parents, then, were commanded to multiply and replenish the earth; and if the Saviour found it his duty to be baptized to fulfil all righteousness, a command of far less importance than that of multiplying his race, (if indeed there is any difference in the commandments of Jehovah, for they are all important, and all essential,) would he not find it his duty to join in with the rest of the faithful ones in replenishing the earth?” – Orson Hyde, Salt Lake City, October 6, 1854

Jeremiah 3:14 “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you…”
2 Corinthians 11:2 “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”
Revelation 19:7-9 “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.”

If Jesus was married in the sense of a man and a woman being married, and if Jesus had kids don’t you think it’d be in scripture?
If it was a commandment for every person to be married and have a family, why isn’t this spoken of in the Bible?
What we do see in scripture is that we are God’s children. Jesus is the bridegroom, we (the believers) are the bride.
There’s nothing in His word that even hints at such a scenario or commandment like the LDS reference below so as Christians we need to dismiss it immediately and warn others of this false teaching!
You can read an interesting article about this on BibleGateway where Lee Strobel interviewed Katherine McReynolds who is a professor at the Torrey Honors Institute at Biola University. Mr. Strobel asked her if Jesus was married, and her response was an unequivocal no it’s impossible for Him to have been married.
If you’re LDS, do you believe Jesus had kids?
Know that we don’t ask this out of animosity or to bash you rather it’s because we have a deep concern for your spiritual welfare.
Please know that we’re praying for you!

LDS leaders just make stuff up to control their people, which is what all cults do. No historical evidence for any of these claims.
Amen to that brother!
I found Brigham’s words to be in very bad taste. when he said, ‘would he not find it his duty to join in with the rest of the faithful ones’.
He made it sound like it was a party or something. 🙁
Amen. God is great.
