September 7 — Why didn’t Israelites Know about the Nephites? 3 Nephi 15:19-21 “But, verily, I say unto you that the Father hath commanded me, and I tell it unto you, that ye were separated from among them because of their iniquity; therefore it is because of their iniquity that they know not of you. 20 And verily, I say unto you again that the other tribes hath the Father separated from them; and it is because of their iniquity that they know not of them. 21 And verily I say unto you, that ye are they of whom I said: Other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”

Matthew 24:4-5, 23-24 “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Just how believable is that Mormon story?
What Israelite wouldn’t have known about one of the other tribes?
The way tradition was in those days the story of one of the tribes getting on a ship and high tailing it to another continent would’ve been in their stories they passed down from one generation to the next.
How did the Nephites know about the American Continent or where they’d land?
Where is the story of Nephi or Lehi in the Old Testament before the Babylonian takeover?
Can’t find it you say? It’s no wonder. Why would the Lord keep secrets?
Jesus of all people not telling the whole truth about the other sheep is a lie. The other sheep were the Gentiles not an unknown group of Israelites.
Lastly, what purpose did all this serve if everyone died?
Ask a Mormon about the questions listed above and any others you might have. Let them know you’re doing this because of the deep concern you have for them and above all else please pray!
With Love in Christ —

[…] Why didn’t Israelites Know about the Nephites? […]
As a child, I was having Catholic dogma crammed down my throat. It always disturbed me. Deep inside. Praises to the Holy Spirit for opening my eyes 46 years ago.
If you are Catholic, Mormon, or Jehovah’s witness – and some things are not sitting right with you – that is the Holy Spirit speaking to you. Act on it! Do not quench that Fire!
So happy that you got saved! And you’re spot on about the Lord’s Spirit speaking! It took me awhile to understand that one, but He was patient with me – PTL!
I accepted the Lord on Palm Sunday – March 27, 1993. Without a doubt it was the best thing I’ve ever done in my life.
Was that your first Palm Sunday service???and what did you think?
What was your first experience in a Christian Church? 🙂
Melissa
Hey there Melissa – 😉
Yep, it was my 1st Palm Sunday service. I got saved so it held a profound effect for me. I knew when I walked into the church (a friend invited me to go w/ her and her family) something was going to happen. Looking back on it I can see the HS was speaking to me.
When I first got into the church, I knew something was going on but my hyper-critical mind wondered why a church would have filthy palm branches lining the aisles. At the end of the service, I accepted the Lord! Yay! 😊
After everyone had left the sanctuary, the Lord pressed it on my heart to get back into the church and repent for all the horrible things I had said about and to the body of Christ.
As I was on my knees sobbing my friend and the pastor asked if they could pray with me. Mind you, my friend’s husband and their 5 kids were all out in their van waiting on me.
My 1st experience at a Christian church didn’t go so well. Kirk was stationed in Germany, and I went to church with a friend. It was a liturgical church, and the congregation all stood up before the service and recited something about being a sinner.
I didn’t take kindly to being called a sinner. During the prayer everyone was standing and at the end they all sat down.
I decided I was going to tell them what I thought. Still standing I said, ‘I of all people am not a sinner’. And then I left w/ everyone watching me. Oh, brother Michelle!
My friend told me later that everyone in the congregation took turns praying for me. There were 200+ attending the meeting. The pastor postponed his sermon. I’m still very good friends with her and have nothing but the best of love in my heart for her.
So, there you have it! 😊 I am so humbled that He saved me a sinner, of all people!
Self-righteous much Michelle? I’m not a sinner 😂 that’s hilarious. I for one would have burst out laughing if someone got up and said that.
It’s also sad you were taught that self-righteous dogma. Well it all worked out for you, and you can get a good chuckle out of it
🤣 Melissa
