Joseph Smith’s Commentary on the Bible, p. 112 “Christ says, “No man knoweth the day or the hour when the Son of Man cometh.” . . . Did Christ speak this as a general principle throughout all generations? Oh no; he spoke in the present tense. No man that was then living upon the footstool of God knew the day or the hour. But he did not say that there was no man throughout all generations that should know the day or the hour. No, for this would be in flat contradiction with other scripture, for the prophet says that God will do nothing but what he will reveal unto his servants the prophets [Amos 3:7]. Old-Testament-Gospel-Doctrine-Teachers-Manual-35570000The title of Lesson 38 is “Beside Me There Is No Saviour”.

The purpose of this lesson is: “To help class members understand that Jesus Christ is incomparable in his devotion to his people and that he has a great work for them to do.”

For this lesson church members spend the class period reading and picking through Isaiah chapters 40-49 the same way someone else would as they perused the classified ads.

Salt Lake TempleYears ago I woke from a vivid dream one night that caused me to get up and start praying straightway. Many of us have had similar experiences in life I’m sure, but this one dream was so short and detailed I still remember it today some 15+ years later.  When I got to work later that day I told Ed about it (I was working at the Saints Alive Ministry office at the time).

I dreamt the walls of the Salt Lake Temple crumbled to the ground and as they fell people came rushing out escaping death.

    exit This article is in response to something I watched on YouTube.  The little snippet reminded me of the horrible behavior problem I had as a member of the LDS Church.  As you already know, Mormon testimonies mimic each other as do the attacks against those who’ve left when they find truth.
