October 20 — Conference Quote: Who is the Church? General Conference, “This Is My Gospel”—“This Is My Church”, October 2024 “…the Lord’s Church was not a location or a building, nor is it today. The Church is simply ordinary people, disciples of Jesus Christ, gathered and organized into a divinely appointed structure that helps the Lord accomplish His purposes. …
Without His Church, there is no authority, no preaching of revealed truths in His name, no ordinances or covenants, no manifestation of the power of godliness, no transformation into who God wants us to become, and God’s plan for His children is set at naught.” — Dale G. Renlund

Matthew 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

There are numerous Bible verses we could use to show how the early church grew throughout the world. In fact, the entire NT is the prime example of how the Lord placed people all over to ensure the body of Christ would do just that.
The main verse to remember is from Mt. 16:18 where Jesus told us the gates of hell wouldn’t prevail.
If Jesus couldn’t keep that promise how likely is it that we could depend on anything else, He said?
Mr. Renlund’s talk was filled with lies trying to convince everyone that Jesus doesn’t keep His word.
Remind the Mormon you know that whenever you see a Christian you’re seeing a miracle of the Lord!
Lastly, Renlund said that the church isn’t a building but the only way to hear truth is in a building. This is a game of smoke and mirrors they use to confuse.
Pray for those who listened to this man’s lies and for them to open a Bible!
With Love in Christ —

There are even some Baptists, or as some say – “Batholics,” that place great emphasis on the church building and its leaders as the only way to grow spiritually. The 501C3 and the professional pastorate have done great damage to the church body.
Oh, I agree. I caution everyone who is a new Christian to make sure there are no rules like this that keep them from truly worshiping the Lord.
If/when there are attachments like the one you’ve mentioned people need to RUN, NOT WALK, the other way!
