‘Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.’ 2 Peter 1:20
December 28 — Brigham Young: Michael is the Holy Ghost. Journal of Discourses 1:51 “It is true that the earth was organized by three distinct characters, namely, Eloheim, Yahovah, and Michael, these three forming a quorum, as in all heavenly bodies, and in organizing element, perfectly represented in the Deity, as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.” — Brigham Young, Great Salt Lake City, April 9, 1852

Romans 1:20-22 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.”

From a post I saw on another site today I was reminded of Brigham Young’s heretical teachings. He always had a lot to say about the Lord and not surprisingly it was usually wrong.
Diaries of early Mormons reveal they had Bibles, so I’m left wondering why they didn’t ask what was going on. I just can’t imagine listening to this man and not questioning what he said.
Although the Church doesn’t espouse Mr. Young’s theory above, they still hold the same mindset they did back then.
Follow the prophet and don’t ask questions. However, based on talks the Church has given in the past it’s obvious those mandates didn’t go over so well.
In 1954 the Church went out of its way making excuses that Brigham was misquoted (Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation 1:96), but in October 1976 their prophet Spencer Kimball announced that Brigham’s Adam-God theory shouldn’t be taught by anyone in the Church.
BTW, they still teach that Adam is Michael the Archangel. D&C 107:54
Brigham couldn’t have been misquoted if they told people to stop repeating what he taught!
Complicating matters even further Mormons today don’t believe in the Trinity that’s clearly seen throughout the Bible.
If you’re LDS, we pray that you’ll ask yourself why the Church honors this man when he was clearly teaching false doctrines. Deuteronomy 18:20-22.

Where do they come up with this stuff? It’s so ridiculous. God help them to seek the truth and find it. Quit believing the lies of the LDS church.
They are a result of their leaders saying whatever they want as they ignore reality.
God help Mormons to start listening to God’s word (the Bible), not the so called prophets of this church.
Amen to that!
