January 22 — LDS: Jesus Prophesied of Joseph Smith. Foreordained of God “This “dispensation” is our time—the time prophesied when God will “gather . . . all things in Christ.” Ancient prophets foretold a final gospel dispensation and prophesied of Joseph Smith, who would lead it. Jesus Christ and His prophets Moses, Moroni, and Joseph of Egypt are just a few that spoke of a great prophet to come.”

2 Corinthians 11:13-14 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

Where in the Bible did Joseph of Egypt or Moses mention Joseph Smith? What exactly did they say?
These are just some of the things I’d ask a Mormon friend or relative. Be specific so they can see that these claims should be backed up with proof instead of just throwing comments around in casual conversation.
The only time Jesus mentioned someone like Joseph Smith is when He warned us about false Christs and false prophets –
Matthew 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
Being inquisitive doesn’t mean you’re being rude so be sure to let them know you care about their spiritual well-being!

[…] LDS: Jesus Prophesied of Joseph Smith […]
When I was in Catholic school, I was always thinking some of the stuff they taught was crazy. I do wonder why some people just believe without questioning these truly bizarre teachings.
As a Mormon I did the same but not always. When it comes to this kind of thing now that I’m saved I’m always reminded of what it says in Eph. 6:12 that it’s not about flesh and blood but the powers and principalities of the air.
There are times when you’re so entrenched in the lies that it’s hard to think of anything else.
Rom 1:22 says professing to be wise they become fools… My heart will always hurt for them but more for Jesus after all that He’s done.
Yes, you are professing to be wise yet are lying and bearing false witness. Admit it – you don’t want to be corrected and refuse to accept rebuke and continue to spew poisonous lies. I have researched out the information and talk with people who are a bit more honest and knowledgeable and the reason I am returning back to the LDS Faith.
It’s sad you feel that way. Perhaps if you’d tell me what I’m lying about we could talk about it.
I would NEVER admit to something I’m not guilty of doing.
Why are you so defensive? You must not have left the Church.
I’ve been in ministry for almost 30 yrs now and the only time I see emails like yours is when the person is LDS.
I understand your anger – I used to be filled with that type of anger as well when I was LDS.
Praying for you to know Jesus.
It seems nothing has changed because you accept what is being stated here is fact without questioning it. I do not have to sit here and wonder as to the reason some people like you accept crazy notions that are baseless, without facts, and poorly constructed arguments full of logical fallacies. And the fact that Life After Ministry consistently lies and bears false witness is the fruit of a poisonous tree. They won’t accept accountability and responsibility for lying and deceiving people. Including you.
I’m responding to your note to Sage Brush and then they can respond as well. As I stated before, I’m waiting for you to tell me what I’ve lied about. Everything I publish is backed with documentation.
I do this because I want for the reader to have access to the material I’ve used.
You seem to have an issue with everyone that’s commented on this site.
Walter Martin used to say the reason that members of the Church are angry is to hide their own guilt.
Now if you’d like to engage in a productive conversation with factual info let us know.
Praying for you.
Michelle
Life after ministry is not lying.
Life after ministry is not lying.
The only people that are deceiving you are your so called prophets and the LDS church. God help you to seek the truth. It will set you free. Have a blessed life. God is great. His word( the Bible) is all we need.
God bless you Michelle. Keep up the good work. Praying the truth will set them free. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear.
M.j.
Thanks for your ongoing prayers! It may seem like an endless saga.
What I do know is that people prayed for my salvation from 1983 to 1993. It probably seemed like forever for them but I ‘m eternally grateful they did!
Anonymous sounds like the anonymous who has visited my site recently, say the same nonsense about me lying. He virtually demands I give him license to refute me –defend Mormonism. Sorry, but I don’t allow the preaching of Mormonism in my comment section.
amen to that. I asked him several times to show where I’ve lied and haven’t received a response. The only lies being told are those by Joe Smith and his followers.
This all comes to the obvious conclusion.
Are you basing your argument on biblical Christianity or what a 14 yr. old farm boy claimed?
