‘For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.’ Luke 8:17
January 12 — Polygamy in 1831 to be Kept Secret. In Essentials in Church History, p. 341 you can read how Joseph Smith was ordered by the Lord to keep the commandment of plural marriage secret for twelve years…
“This revelation, dated July 12, 1843, also contains the doctrine of plural wives. This doctrine was made known to the Prophet as early as the summer of 1831, and by him was taught to a few others…Secrecy was imposed by the Lord until such time as he saw fit for its introduction.
When the Prophet was commanded to practice this principle, he hesitated and deferred taking action for some time…moreover, his own prejudices were in opposition to the doctrine. However, the Lord had commanded and he must act.” — Joseph Fielding Smith

Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Let’s see…
Based on the LDS revelation listed above we’re wondering if this was truly from the Lord.
1.Smith was involved in adultery.
2.fornication with having sex outside of marriage.
3.lasciviousness (inclined to lustfulness.
4.idolatry in worshiping false gods.
5.witchcraft in treasure seeking.
6.hatred in speaking badly about Christians.
7.variance in changing his prophecies.
8.emulations – desiring to surpass others.
9.wrath –Christians are the ‘whores of Babylon’.
10.strife — stirring up trouble in the body of Christ.
11.seditions in his rebelling against God and encouraging others to do the same.
12.heresies — speaking false prophecies.
13.Drunkenness the many reports of Smith being a ‘happy drunk’ and even drinking on the night he was jilled in a gunfight.
14.Reveling which is rioting and their track record of being kicked out of one town after another.
Aside from 1 or 2 things listed in Galatians I think that about covers it.
How sad this describes their prophet.
Please pray for Mormons to stop and think about the legacy their prophet left behind.
With Love in Christ –

Why would God want to keep his commands secret?!?!?
Exactly! When has God ever done such a thing?!
What a great prophet, 🤣🤣. They will make excuses for him and say nobody is perfect. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Smith’s track record speaks volumes eh?
