February 13 — BoM Lie: Salvation is Free. 2 Nephi 26:25 “Behold, doth he cry unto any, saying: Depart from me? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; but he saith: Come unto me all ye ends of the earth, buy milk and honey, without money and without price.”

Isaiah 55:1, 3 “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”

The Book of Mormon is filled with half plagiarisms to make it sound holy and godly, however if you’ll notice in today’s example, they’ve left out a very important part of the passage.
The Everlasting Covenant God will make with us. That means you, that means me, that means your spouse, mom, dad, sibling, your child, neighbor, your boss, every single person.
This offer is extended to everyone, meaning it’s not exclusive to people who call themselves Mormons.
The next thing you’ll want to point out is the true definition of the word everlasting and the word covenant. Show examples of what a covenant with God entails.
Start with Noah, then Moses at Passover, Jonathan and David’s covenant and of course the covenant God makes with His children who accept His Son.
The last item to take note of is the lie couched in the context of this one verse. They’ve taken it upon themselves to slam every church but their own by saying everyone but the “one true church” charges money to receive salvation.
Truth: in Mormonism you cannot receive a true salvation if you don’t go to the temple to receive endowments.
The only way you’re going to step foot inside that temple for the all-important endowments is if you’ve paid a minimum ten percent of your gross income to the Church. Who’s the liar now?
Take a few moments to ask the Mormon you know for their opinion about the things we’ve listed here today!
With Love in Christ –
